Introducing: The Sound of Movies Podcast

We have so many new and exciting things to share in 2018, including several new shows and new seasons of current shows! To kick the year off, we’re announcing The Sound of Movies, beginning on Tuesday, February 6th.

And what is The Sound of Movies about, you may ask? Well, it is a podcast that is, quite literally, about the sound of movies! If you know anything about us at Evergreen Podcasts, you know that we love film (our longest-running podcast, GreenlightReviews, may have given that away). We especially love a movie with a great soundtrack. We are firm believers that an incredible score and soundtrack are what separates the good movies from the truly great.

We therefore created The Sound of Movies podcast in order to share our favorite movie soundtracks in a way that is both fun and easy to listen to. Each episode of The Sound of Movies explores a different movie renowned for its stellar soundtrack by giving the story of the movie within the context of its soundtrack. While the soundtrack for the movie plays, a narrator expertly weaves the plot into the music, allowing you to experience your favorite movies in a truly unique and exciting way. In 35 minutes, you’ll get the entire story and soundtrack from the opening scene to closing credits.

What do Star Wars, Gone with the Wind, Jaws, High Noon, and Ben Hur all have in common? Award-winning, magnificent, memorable soundtracks. Some movies covered in The Sound of Movies are decades old, while others were made in recent years. They span different genres and are very different from each other, yet they all have their incredible soundtracks to make them alike. And while you already know and love the soundtracks, we guarantee that you have never heard them like this before. We could not be more excited to share this podcast with you!

The Sound of Movies is the brainchild of our founder, Joan Andrews, a film enthusiast who also happens to be the host/narrator of this first season.

So mark your calendars for February 6th, and go ahead and sign up for our emails (on the bottom of this page) to be notified when the show is live and available for download! Follow all updates for The Sound of Movies on our Evergreen Podcasts Facebook and Twitter accounts, and please share with your friends using the hashtag #TheSoundofMovies.
